I entered the world behind the clapperboard 20 years ago as a set photographer, and I never left that world. That is true for many people working in film — a single, sometimes accidental, exposure triggers a lifelong affair, despite (or possibly because of) the rollercoaster ride that is making a film. And even though my professional journey took me through cinematography and to directing, to this day I feel truly privileged and inspired when I have the opportunity to be that “fly on the wall” who can capture the raw emotion and the magic of making cinema.
